Privacy Policy

We don't like to make things more complicated than they need to be, so our privacy policy is easy to read and even easier to understand.

1) We use Google Analytics. This lets us know all sorts of things, such as what you searched for to get here, how long you spent on each page, and what sort of computer you use. Don't worry, it doesn't store your name or email address. It just helps us know how we're being found, and what is being viewed. More information can be found here.

2) Aside from Google Analytics, the only time Strikemedia or the Engine Shed records anything about your computer is if you interact with us by sending a message, subscribing to the newsletter, or asking for a ticket sales reminder.

As part of our spam-prevention measures we have a "prove you are a human" test on newsletter subscription forms and ticket sales reminder requests. You just have to click the coloured shape that we ask for. If you get this wrong twice your IP address is blocked from subscribing to the mailing list for 24 hours. This means that no-one from that connection will be able to subscribe to the mailing list for a whole day.

When you successfully subscribe to the mailing list we record your IP address, your user agent (the type of computer you have, operating system, and web browser information), the date you joined, and your email address. We store all ticket reminders you request and they are store alongside your email address. Presently this data is not used, but may well be in future.

3) On subscribing to the mailing list you agree that we can record which newsletters and gig alerts you actually open, as well as which links in the email you click. At present we only use this data to remove email addresses that are long forgotten, but it could be used to tailor the information we send you.

Basically, we store what we require to give you an enjoyable browsing experience. If you have any questions about your privacy in relation to the use of the Engine Shed website then please contact Strikemedia from their website.
